The second trailer for Heads of State has dropped, and it’s leaning into everything that made the action-comedy’s concept immediately appealing: a petty political feud, international espionage, and high-octane action.
Heads of State stars Idris Elba as the UK’s Prime Minister Sam Clarke and John Cena as U.S. President Will Derringer—two world leaders whose bitter rivalry threatens to destroy the alliance between their nations. But when an enemy launches an attack that surprises even their top security forces, the two heads of state must form an unlikely (and very unwilling) alliance.
Also pulled into the chaos is MI6 agent Noel Bisset (Priyanka Chopra Jonas), who joins forces with Clarke and Derringer to uncover a global conspiracy that could threaten the future of democracy. Paddy Considine, Stephen Root, Carla Gugino, Jack Quaid, Sarah Niles, and Richard Coyle complete the cast.
The newest preview of the film offers fans a better glimpse at the mayhem ahead, featuring gunfights on foreign ground, intense car chases, and the competitive banter we expect from a buddy comedy.
