Judge Allegedly Rejects DDG’s Motion Against Halle Bailey, Singer Permitted to Take Son to Italy

A judge has allegedly rejected DDG’s motion to prevent Halle Bailey from leaving the country with their son, Halo.

The rapper and streamer’s request for a temporary restraining order against Bailey was turned down on Thursday (June 5), based on TMZ’s report. This permits her to travel internationally with their one-year-old son for personal or professional purposes.

“I must be on set in Italy to film a movie,” Halle stated in court documents she submitted in response to DDG on June 4. “I am contractually bound to be there from June 7, 2025 to August 4, 2025. Darryl has known about this work obligation for months. This is my source of income, on which Halo and I rely to pay all bills.”

The filing, which has been reviewed by Complex, went on, “Darryl has not contributed any regular support since Halo was born. I will be held liable for damages to this film ifI am not there, which I believe would be a breach of my contract. I cannot leave Halo with Darryl, as Darryl will be out of town a majority of those months. Halo is also a protected person by the Court’s Temporary Restraining Order.”

She then accused DDG of using the courts as a weapon of revenge, pointing out that he waited until the day before the June 4 hearing to file his request, despite being aware of her travel plans for months.

“This is cold retribution to embarrass, humiliate, and cause me additional emotional distress,” she said.

Bailey challenged DDG’s characterization of her mental health, stating that he “exaggerated, lied, and misconstrued for the Court, not only the history of our relationship, but our parenting and my mental health.”

She continued, “There is no doubt that I was emotionally devastated in 2022 and 2023 by his behavior and ongoing abuse. I have been very vocal about my anxiety, depression, and previous thoughts of suicide. Without waiving the psychotherapist- patient privilege and physician-patient privilege, I have reached out to my doctor and received treatment to address these issues.”

“I have been and remain 100% available and capable as a parent to our son, Halo. Had Darryl really been concerned about my parenting, he would have taken action prior to this time. He has never sought custody orders or any orders protecting Halo until today, the day that my [Domestic Violence Restraining Order] was set,” she added.

Bailey alleged that DDG’s filings were part of a pattern of “ongoing abuse,” mentioning threats to damage her career and emotional stability.

“Since the Orders were made, this online behavior has only escalated, and I have continued to receive death threats,” she said.

Bailey also referenced the recent altercation involving DDG’s brother DuB at Dream Con in Houston, Texas, saying, “Darryl and the people around him are aggressive and angry, which leads me to believe this is not a safe environment for Halo.”

“Darryl plans to be in Houston, Hawaii, Atlanta, and Paris streaming 24/7 during the month of June 2025, according to his own online posts. When he has had custody in the past, he has left Halo with his mother,” she claimed. “As of June 2, 2025, Darryl is online railing against me, alleging he cannot see his son. He is not in Los Angeles. This behavior is not child-centered, and Halo is only being used to further his fan base and online presence.”

She ended her response by asking the court to “restrain” DDG and his associates from posting about her, Halo, and the ongoing litigation across his multiple social media platforms.
