Jared Leto is fighting back against sexual misconduct accusations from nine different women, with some claiming they were minors during the alleged incidents.
Leto’s representative has stated that “all of the allegations” detailed in a comprehensive Air Mail report are “expressly denied.”
The representative also pushed back against specific accusations from DJ Allie Teilz, who claimed in a now-deleted Instagram Story last month that Leto attacked her at age 17. In a 2012 Facebook post, Teilz had written, “You’re not really in L.A. until Jared Leto tries to force himself on you backstage … In a kilt … And a snow hat.” In another Instagram Story, Teilz stated: “I was assaulted and traumatized by this creep when I was 17. He knew my age and didn’t care. What he did was predatory, terrifying and unacceptable.”
Leto’s representative directly countered this claim, declaring that “Ms. Teilz’s allegations are demonstrably false.”
When confronted with an accuser’s allegation that Leto might have been under the influence during inappropriate phone calls, Leto’s representative told Air Mail that he “has not had a drink or used drugs in over 35 years.”
Leto’s representative also rejected claims made by model Laura La Rue. “Their communications contain nothing sexual or inappropriate,” the rep stated, noting that “Ms. La Rue later applied to work as Mr. Leto’s personal assistant, further underscoring the absence of anything inappropriate in any of their interactions.”
The actor, widely recognized for his performances in Dallas Buyers Club and Suicide Squad, has faced ongoing rumors for years about his behavior with young fans.
Despite this, no criminal charges have been filed against him, and Leto has never publicly commented on the rumors. Currently, neither Leto nor his legal representatives have released a more comprehensive public response.
