Cuba Gooding Jr. Says He’s Praying for Diddy Amid Federal Trial: ‘I Don’t Judge Anybody’

Cuba Gooding Jr. says he’s keeping Sean “Diddy” Combs—and everyone involved in his federal sex trafficking trial—in his prayers.

Speaking with TMZ at LAX on Wednesday, the Oscar-winning actor shared that it’s hard to avoid the high-profile case. “You turn your TV on, and see it everywhere,” he said.

Still, Gooding made it clear he’s choosing compassion over judgment. “Like I said, I pray for the brother, and I pray for the victims, and I pray for Cassie and her family,” he added. “That’s all I can do from a bystander’s point of view.”

When asked whether he feels sympathy for Diddy, Cuba Gooding Jr. admitted that he does—though he acknowledged it’s not easy given the serious nature of the case. Drawing from scripture, Gooding explained his stance on withholding judgment, especially considering his own past mistakes.

“You know, it’s hard to, but yeah, I feel sympathy,” he said. “They say, he without sin, cast the first stone. I don’t judge anybody.”

Meanwhile, the trial hit a pause on Wednesday after Judge Arun Subramanian announced it was canceled for the day due to a juror experiencing a medical issue.
