India Love admitted she was completely caught off guard when Drake gave her a personal shoutout at the end of Streamer University last month.
As the Kai Cenat-led event wrapped, Drake appeared in a surprise video message, praising everyone who made it through the experience. But he saved a special moment just for India—who had been in the middle of a playful love triangle with DDG and Duke Dennis during the stream.
“And India, India… After all these years, you know, all the love that we shared, our friends and our families knowing each other,” Drake said in the clip. “I just wanted to say, that you’ll always be my dog. You’ll always be my dog. I got love for you, I’m proud of you.”
India later said the shoutout “definitely shocked” her, adding, “He’s a legend.”
In a new episode of 360 With Speedy, released Thursday, June 26, India Love opened up about the unexpected moment Drake name-dropped her during Streamer University.
“I was over there like, ‘Wait what?’” she told host Speedy Morman. “I was in the crowd, and everybody’s looking at me. I didn’t even really hear it all because I was still stuck on the last thing he said.”
She added, “I was definitely surprised, and it was good to see and hear from him and make sure he’s good.” Calling Drake a “legend,” India said she “appreciated” the “cute” and “cool” shoutout.
As for her own situation, while Drake keeps his bachelor status intact, India continues to stream separately with both DDG and Duke Dennis—though she’s stayed quiet on any dating rumors.
Speaking to TMZ recently, India had nothing but praise for DDG: “He’s a great person, he’s a great guy. I don’t know what God has for my life, but I know he’s a great guy. You gotta pour into people who pour into you, and he’s definitely someone who’s right in my corner—and I’m also always gonna be right in his corner. So yeah, shoutout to DDG.”
