Dame Dash has been put on notice about a possible arrest warrant coming his way as his legal troubles continue to mount.
In an order filed at the end of last month with Josh Webber and Muddy Water Pictures listed as plaintiffs against Dash and his Dame Dash Studios, U.S. Magistrate Judge Robert W. Lehrburger granted a motion claiming Dash failed to comply with discovery. According to the order viewed by Complex, Dash must respond to the plaintiffs’ discovery requests by May 9. If he doesn’t take appropriate action within the specified timeframe, “an arrest warrant for Mr. Dash to bring him to court to respond to the discovery sought” might be issued.
The April 29 order also mentions a “purported forthcoming bankruptcy” and defense counsel’s attempts to withdraw from the case. As the New York Post reported, Dash has also been accused of destroying evidence and reportedly owes millions in judgments.
Back in March, news broke that Dash was facing a $4 million default judgment related to a defamation lawsuit from Webber, who claimed the Roc-A-Fella co-founder’s podcast comments cost him a major opportunity.
Just a month earlier, Cam’ron shared his thoughts about Dash’s money problems during an episode of his and Mase’s It Is What It Is. While Cam expressed appreciation for Dash being an important figure in his career, he criticized his alleged spending habits.
“Dame would be set for life if he knew how to manage his money,” Cam remarked at the time.
