DDG has suggested he understands how Michael Jackson felt about fame during his heated custody battle with his ex-girlfriend Halle Bailey.
On Thursday (June 5), DDG reflected on all the attention he’s been receiving lately in a post shared on X. “Now I know how Michael Jackson felt being famous,” he wrote, not directly addressing the drama surrounding his relationship with Bailey. “Shit crazy.”

Throughout his career, Michael Jackson faced extensive media attention as the biggest pop star in the world. But he also went to trial in one of the most famous court cases in history when he was accused of child sexual abuse, which he was tried and acquitted of in 2005.
Earlier this week, DDG filed a motion to prevent Halle Bailey from leaving the country with their son, Halo. He filed a temporary restraining order against the singer/actor, but the judge in the case rejected the motion and will allow her to travel with their son to Italy to film a movie. In her response, she argued that he hasn’t provided “any regular support” since their child was born.
She added that he used the courts to get back at her because he knew about her work commitment for months. She also accused him of exaggerating the state of her mental health struggles and admitted that she has experienced suicidal thoughts in the past, but she has received therapy and poses no threat to their son. Bailey recently pointed to DDG’s brother getting into a fist fight as evidence that she should have sole custody.
Meanwhile, DDG has accused his ex-girlfriend of illegally monitoring his location through the use of Apple AirTags she placed in his cars and their 18-month-old child’s diaper bag. He also claimed that she physically attacked him and took his gun while threatening to end her life.
