The back-and-forth between Cardi B and Tasha K is still ongoing.
Their long-running legal battle is heating up again, with Cardi reportedly heading back to court this May, according to AllHipHop. This time, she’s accusing the controversial YouTuber of repeatedly breaking their non-disparagement agreement.
A hearing is set for May 6 in Fort Lauderdale, where a Florida bankruptcy judge will review claims that Tasha K violated the terms of their deal at least 25 times. Cardi’s legal team is pushing for serious consequences, arguing that the alleged breaches have continued despite a settlement that was supposed to put the situation to bed.
The dispute stems from Tasha K losing a defamation case, which led to a $3.9 million judgment in Cardi’s favor. To handle the financial pressure, Tasha K filed for bankruptcy and later agreed to a structured repayment plan. As part of that deal, she’s required to pay $1.2 million over five years, provide quarterly financial updates, and avoid making any defamatory or negative statements about Cardi B or her family.
However, Cardi B’s legal team says Tasha K hasn’t honored the agreement. In newly filed documents, they claim the YouTuber has been using coded wording, deleting posts, and switching up her messaging across podcasts and social media to keep referencing Cardi indirectly. Even when not stated outright, Cardi’s lawyers argue the intent is obvious—and still breaches both the spirit and the terms of the deal.
Now, Cardi is asking the court to step in with what her attorneys describe as “economically painful” sanctions. In other words, they want financial penalties that increase with every alleged violation. They’re also pushing for a tighter, more specific order that would completely ban Tasha K from mentioning Cardi, Offset, or even Diggs on any platform going forward.
The judge’s ruling could carry serious weight—not just for both sides, but for how non-disparagement agreements are enforced in high-profile cases. For now, all attention is on the courtroom as the situation continues to play out.
