Nick Pasqual has been convicted of attempted murder after brutally stabbing his ex-girlfriend more than 20 times during a break-in at her home.
As reported by the New York Post, the actor is now facing a potential life sentence for the violent attack on award-winning makeup artist Allie Shehorn, which took place at her residence in Sunland, California, in May of 2024.
He was found guilty on multiple charges, including attempted murder, first-degree residential burglary with a person present, injuring a partner or child’s parent, forcible rape, and domestic violence.
His sentencing is set for June 2.
Details of the case revealed that Pasqual broke into Shehorn’s home around 4:30 a.m. and repeatedly stabbed her, leaving her with severe injuries, including cuts to her neck, arms, and abdomen.
She was later discovered by her surrogate mother and rushed to the hospital, where she was placed in intensive care in critical condition and underwent several surgeries.
Following the attack, Pasqual tried to escape to Mexico but was apprehended at the U.S.-Mexico border checkpoint in Sierra Blanca.
In the days leading up to the incident, Shehorn had filed a restraining order against him, alleging multiple prior assaults. She claimed he had hit her with a belt, forced entry into her home by breaking doors, verbally abused her, and subjected her to rape and choking.
Throughout his 16-year acting career, Pasqual appeared in projects such as How I Met Your Mother, National Day Riff, and Archive 81. He had initially pleaded not guilty to the charges.
A year before the attack, Shehorn earned “Best SFX Makeup” at the Hollywood Blood Horror Festival for her work on the film Incorrigible. She has also contributed to major productions like Babylon and Rebel Moon: Part One, and has since made her return to the Hollywood makeup scene following her recovery.
