Before reportedly tying the knot, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have quietly made one of the year’s most significant celebrity charitable contributions.
According to Variety, representatives for the couple confirmed they donated a combined $26 million to at least 20 charities across the United States. The donations will benefit food banks, children’s hospitals, educational initiatives, youth programs, and animal welfare organizations. The charitable effort comes as speculation continues to grow that Swift and Kelce are set to wed over the July Fourth weekend at New York City’s iconic Madison Square Garden.
One of the first organizations to confirm it had received a donation was City Harvest, which revealed that Swift and Kelce contributed $1 million to help provide meals for more than 2.4 million New Yorkers facing food insecurity this summer.
“We are incredibly grateful for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s generous $1 million donation to City Harvest,” CEO Jilly Stephens said. “This donation is a love letter to New York, and a bold commitment to our efforts to ensure that no New Yorker goes hungry.”
Stephens added that the donation comes at a time when visits to food pantries remain close to record levels, with expected federal funding cuts likely to drive demand even higher.
The couple’s generosity also reached organizations beyond New York. According to the announcement, donations were made to Feeding America, Food Bank For NYC, Harvesters – The Community Food Network, Rhode Island Community Food Bank, Los Angeles Regional Food Bank, the ASPCA, Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, multiple educational initiatives, and three children’s hospitals.
The Rhode Island Community Food Bank also confirmed that it received a $1 million donation, describing the gift as “extraordinarily generous and unexpected.”
The charitable announcement comes as reported wedding preparations continue at Madison Square Garden. Workers have reportedly been spotted unloading staging equipment, landscaping supplies, production cases labeled “Garden Party” and “Mirror Ball,” along with other event materials.
Earlier reports also claimed that street closure permits had been secured, electronic invitations accompanied by non-disclosure agreements had been sent out, and hotel accommodations had been booked for Kansas City Chiefs players ahead of the July Fourth holiday weekend.
Variety further reported that a small rehearsal dinner is scheduled for Thursday, July 2, at the Theater at Madison Square Garden, followed by a larger celebration in the venue’s main auditorium on Friday, July 3.
Despite the ongoing speculation, neither Swift nor Kelce has publicly confirmed any details about the reported wedding.
