50 Cent Celebrates G-Unit Reebok’s Sold-Out Launch While Taking Shots at Rick Ross & Ebro

When you have as many rivalries as 50 Cent, it makes sense to address multiple situations at once. In a video shared on his Instagram celebrating the sold-out return of the G-Unit x Reebok G6 sneakers and his recent Verzuz appearance, he took another playful shot at Rick Ross while revisiting his ongoing back-and-forth with Ebro Darden.

The clip opens with Fif smoking a cigar while showing off the new sneakers. Playing in the background is audio from his Rap Life Review interview on Apple Music with Darden and Nadeska Alexis, where the G-Unit boss discussed the differences between Southern and New York hip-hop, arguing that the numbers still favor New York.

The video also featured 50 Cent’s latest shot at Ebro regarding New York hip-hop. The two previously disagreed over the state of the city’s rap scene, with 50 accusing the broadcaster of failing to properly support and influence New York artists, while Ebro argued that 50 contributed to dividing the city’s hip-hop community.

After that, 50 Cent’s feud with Rick Ross became the focus. “Sold out, fat boy,” Fif said while looking into the camera before laughing and displaying the sneakers.

The video also included other Rap Life Review moments, including him turning his back on Ebro and jokingly teasing Tyrese. The footage also showed 50 Cent’s Verzuz appearance during the Joe and Donnell Jones matchup, where he reunited with YG as well.

The G-Unit x Reebok G6 made its return this week, more than two decades after the sneaker first debuted. Reports indicate that the release sold out within two hours, and the New York rapper spoke with Footwear News about the success.

“It was authentic,” he said about the sneaker. “I wasn’t just putting my name on somebody else’s shoe and calling it mine. I was involved. The design, the marketing, the way we presented it. It all felt like me and G-Unit. People can tell when something is real, and I think that’s why it connected the way it did… Look at the response now. We sold out within two hours, and our design held up. That tells you we got it right the first time.”
