Emily Austin traded the sports scene for a glamorous evening in Venice.
The 25-year-old sports broadcaster attended the Furies screening at the 83rd Venice International Film Festival on Friday, turning heads in a pale blue Caroline’s Couture gown paired with Chopard jewelry.
“A magical night on the red carpet with FURIES at the Venice Film Festival,” she captioned a series of photos from the event on Instagram.
The response was nearly unanimous. Former Raiders cheerleader Emily Compagno, Barstool Sports host Kayce Smith, and MMA fighter Leah McCourt all described Austin as some version of “stunning,” while another commenter said her gown was serving “major princess vibes.”
Austin wasn’t the only star attracting attention that evening. George Clooney and Grant Heslov, who executive produced Furies, attended alongside director Rami Kodeih and members of the cast. Earlier in the week, Clooney compared the film to Thelma & Louise and called it “very beautiful.”
The film, which is set to head to the Toronto International Film Festival next, centers on two sisters who plot a bank robbery after Lebanon’s financial collapse prevents them from accessing their own savings needed for a life-saving procedure. Rodrigo Teixeira produced the project through RT Features, following the company’s recent Oscar win for I’m Still Here.
For Austin, Venice offered a welcome break from a summer spent traveling between major sporting events.
In July, she joined DAZN in Saudi Arabia for Anthony Joshua’s comeback fight against Kristian Prenga, serving as a social reporter for the broadcast. Just weeks later, she worked her first event for Jake Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions during Amanda Serrano’s Aug. 21 title fight against Lucrecia Manzur.
“Proud to join a team that continues to push boxing forward and has done so much to elevate women’s boxing,” Austin wrote on Instagram afterward, adding, “What a way to make my debut.”
Austin has also been keeping the boxing conversation going on The Emily Austin Show. In November 2025, she asked Ryan Garcia about Conor Benn, months before the pair were scheduled to face off. Garcia claimed Benn “still fights like an amateur” and said his style was “made for me.”
Garcia’s stance hasn’t changed much. During an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show last week, with Benn sitting across from him, he described his opponent as “borderline a bum,” an “athletic amateur,” and eventually, a “very fancy trash can.”
Garcia and Benn will face off Saturday at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, with Garcia’s WBC welterweight title at stake.
