Latto and 21 Savage made an appearance at the US Open on Sept. 12, offering fans one of their most visible public moments yet as a pair who have spent years keeping their relationship largely private.
The two were initially spotted arriving at the US Open, where they greeted MGK before posing for photographers.
Latto and 21 Savage’s romance dates back to their 2020 collaboration, “Pull Up,” which was the first of three tracks they have recorded together, followed by “Wheelie” and “Pop It.” At some point, the pair also got matching tattoos featuring each other’s legal names, with his reading “Shéyaa” and hers “Alyssa.”
Latto made their relationship public last September when she told TMZ that 21 Savage was her “husband.” She revealed her pregnancy in March while announcing her album Big Mama, before posting a video in May that appeared to confirm the arrival of their daughter, who is 21 Savage’s fourth child.
21 Savage has recently opened up about how becoming a father again has been a different experience for him. During an appearance on Netflix’s The Pete Davidson Show, he explained, “My first three [kids], I was younger, running around in the street. It was different.” He added, “Now, I’m in the house, I had the baby all night, making her bottles, changing her diapers. It’s kinda like a different bond type shit.”
Latto has described a similar change in her own life, previously speaking to The Breakfast Club about becoming more open with her personal life while still maintaining certain boundaries.
“I got a baby, I can only be so private,” she said, while emphasizing that she continues to keep some aspects of her life guarded. “I feel like I still am private to a certain point… But I feel like once you start reaching different milestones in life…”
She also revealed that welcoming their daughter helped bring clarity to something they both wanted, saying, “I feel like we both needed a girl.”
