Offset has plenty to look forward to in the coming months, with more music on the way following the release of his “Something I Need” single earlier this year. The Atlanta rapper has now revealed that his upcoming album, GMFU, is set to arrive on October 23.
Offset shared a recap of his Paris Fashion Week experience on Instagram, while also giving fans a taste of what’s coming next. “Paris fashion week OH YEA ALBUM DROP OCT23. #GMFU F**K EVRYBODY THAT WENT AGAINST ME AT HARD TIMES P***Y,” he wrote.
The rapper also took to his Instagram Story to share another message about the project, writing, “GMFU ALBUM NAME THIS S**T COME FROM MY HEART FANS AND PPL I LOVE HURT ME F**K Everybody ITS MY TIME !!!!”
Additionally, the Migos member appeared in a video with Paper Magazine, where he opened up about his upcoming release.
“I’m back to the music and away from the bulls**t,” he expressed. “I’m straight to the music. I got some fire and I’m ready for the world to see what’s happening, what’s on my mind, what I’ve been thinking, what I’ve been cooking up this whole time. I love my fans, I love fashion… You know I’m coming strong. I’m dropping a new album October 23. Come f**k with me.”
This is welcome news for fans of the Georgia lyricist, especially following the release of Quavo’s latest album this week, which featured “Away,” marking the duo’s first collaboration in five years. Although QRÖMELIFE received a less-than-enthusiastic response, it still became part of a significant moment for the two rappers, who had previously been at odds. A Migos reunion is also in the works to pay tribute to the late Takeoff, with plans for a new project—or possibly multiple projects—and a tour.
Fans are eager to see what the group has planned. While their individual solo efforts have faced their share of criticism, reuniting could help them return to the high standard they established together after years of pursuing separate careers.
Quavo and Offset’s reconciliation has also brought joy to fans who were saddened by their feud before Takeoff’s tragic passing. With Offset’s new album, GMFU, arriving in just a few weeks, longtime supporters are hopeful that it will mark the beginning of a successful new chapter.
