Offset and Don Toliver are adding a touch of ’90s R&B nostalgia to their latest collaboration by sampling one of the genre’s most memorable hits.
On Friday (Oct. 9), the pair dropped “Every Night,” a new single that incorporates Jodeci’s 1995 classic “Freek’n You.” Produced by Jaasu, the track offers another glimpse into Offset’s upcoming fourth solo album, GMFU.
The song kicks off with JoJo Hailey’s vocals from the original Jodeci record before Offset comes in with his signature ad-libs and verses. Instead of letting the sample fade into the background, Jaasu preserves the recognizable melody, pairing it with hard-hitting drums and distorted synths.
Throughout the track, Offset delivers flirtatious lyrics about a woman who stays on his mind.
“Thinkin’ ’bout you all day and all night, got no sleep / I could spice your life up,” he raps.
Toliver brings his signature melodic style to the track, adding references to Waikiki in Hawaii while giving the song’s romantic theme a playful twist. The single also lists Jodeci member Donald DeGrate, better known as DeVante Swing, among its songwriters.
To accompany the release, Offset and Toliver unveiled an official music video directed by Mikey Rare and SheShe Pendleton. The visuals showcase the duo enjoying a lavish casino lifestyle, featuring a darker aesthetic and a promotional partnership with Crown Royal Marquis.
“Every Night” is the third time Offset and Toliver have teamed up. Their previous collaborations include “Had Enough” in 2019 and “WORTH IT” in 2023.
The single is another step in Offset’s promotional campaign for GMFU, an abbreviation for Got Me Fucked Up. The album is scheduled for release on Oct. 23 through Motown Records.
Offset first began teasing the project over the summer before dropping “Something I Need” in September. He officially announced the album’s release date during an interview with Paper Magazine on Oct. 2, then revealed its title the following day at Paris Fashion Week.
Beyond his solo work, the Atlanta rapper has continued making appearances on other projects, most recently joining Quavo on “Away.”
GMFU follows Offset’s 2025 releases, HAUNTED BY FAME and KIARI, marking another addition to his solo discography after his success as a member of Migos.
