Investigators have continued pursuing the case involving Boosie Badazz’s 18-year-old son, who was previously arrested on robbery and battery charges. Two additional suspects have now been arrested in Louisiana, bringing the total number of people taken into custody in connection with the alleged incident to four.
According to WBRZ, Livingston Parish sheriff’s deputies identified the latest suspects as Antonio Cooley, 19, and Calei Ely, 18. Their arrests come after Ivy Ray Hatch, better known as Ray Ray, and an unidentified juvenile were taken into custody on October 22. Authorities have yet to publicly disclose the specific allegations against Cooley and Ely.
The investigation began on October 21, when deputies responded to a reported battery on Buffwood Street in Denham Springs at around 7 p.m. The complainant told investigators that Hatch and a juvenile had allegedly assaulted and robbed him.
“The victim in this case reported being battered and robbed,” Livingston Parish Sheriff Jason Ard said in a statement. At the time, he confirmed the initial arrests and indicated that more suspects could be apprehended as the investigation continued.
Hatch was booked on charges of armed robbery, aggravated second-degree battery, possession of a firearm in connection with drugs, and possession of drug paraphernalia. His bond was set at $275,500, which he paid before being released from the Livingston Parish Detention Center on Thursday night. Meanwhile, the unidentified juvenile was transferred to the Florida Parishes Juvenile Detention Center. Authorities have not revealed the minor’s age or alleged involvement beyond the complainant’s account.
The case has also brought renewed attention to Boosie, who has faced his own legal challenges over the years. However, the Baton Rouge rapper has yet to publicly comment on his son’s situation. When TMZ reached out to him regarding Hatch’s arrest, he declined to speak on the matter.
Although investigators have now identified four individuals connected to the case, several important details remain unknown. The sheriff’s office has not disclosed what was allegedly stolen, the severity of the complainant’s injuries, or the potential charges against Cooley and Ely. These unanswered questions have taken on greater significance as the investigation continues to expand beyond Hatch and the juvenile initially accused of the alleged attack.
