Sexyy Red continues to stir up controversy with her image, lyrics, and antics, but she has also earned the support of several major artists. Among them is none other than Drake.
Over the past few years, Drake and Sexyy Red have built a playful friendship. The two have collaborated on multiple songs, and Drake even featured her in his FOMO video. Their relationship shows that Drizzy continues to stand by the people he connects with, regardless of outside opinions.
Over the weekend, the Canadian superstar celebrated his 40th birthday surrounded by some of his favorite people. Among the guests were DJ Akademiks and Adam22.
Sexyy Red was also present at the celebration. In the video below, she can be seen showing off a pink OVO chain gifted to her by Drake.
Drake has gifted OVO chains to several artists over the years, with most featuring the traditional diamond finish. However, he went in a different direction for Sexyy Red, giving her a standout pink chain that matches her bold and colorful personality.
Only time will tell what the future holds for Drake and Sexyy Red, but it wouldn’t be surprising to see the pair team up for more collaborations in the coming months and years.
When Drake connects with an artist he likes, he tends to maintain that relationship, provided things don’t eventually go south or end in betrayal.
