Hugh Hefner’s widow has spoken out about the alleged abuse she endured during her nearly five-year marriage to the late Playboy founder.
In a new interview with Page Six, 40-year-old Crystal Hefner shared more details about her alleged experiences with other people, saying: “I had to have sex with strangers I didn’t even know. It was humiliating. It was embarrassing.”
She also revealed that she has questioned why she married the late Playboy mogul, who died at 91 in 2017. “If I could go back, I absolutely wouldn’t have [married Hugh],” she said. “I came from a broken home. I didn’t have a father. And I know now that Hef chose people he could easily manipulate, like that was it.”
Crystal first met Hugh Hefner in 2008 at a Halloween party hosted at the Playboy mansion. She moved into the Los Angeles estate shortly afterward, became one of his girlfriends, and eventually married him in 2012.
During a recent appearance on the Lisa Guerrero Unleashed podcast, Crystal also discussed the alleged sexual abuse she experienced during their relationship. When asked whether she believed she had been raped, she responded: “I do believe that I did whatever he wanted me to do. And if that involved sex, then I just did what he wanted me to do,”
“There were moments in the bedroom when I felt extremely uncomfortable,” she added. “In the bedroom things would happen that ended up just not being OK.”
Crystal also recalled an incident in which Hefner allegedly “started to try and shove twins [Kristina and Karissa Shannon’s] heads onto each other’s vaginas to get them to engage with each other sexually.”
“That is incest. That is disgusting,” Crystal alleged. “I didn’t want them to have to do something like that with each other. So that was very, very hard.”
Her allegations come just weeks after she reached out to Jessica Biel through Instagram direct messages over the actress’s reported role as Hugh Hefner’s fictional wife in the upcoming Playboy dynasty film, Playmates.
“Please reconsider playing Hugh Hefner’s ‘wife’ if this film is to romanticize him or the Playboy world,” Crystal wrote in the message. “I was actually his wife, and I experienced sexual, emotional, financial, and physical abuse in that relationship,” she alleged.
