IShowSpeed took his Spider-Man Halloween costume to the next level when fellow streamer Cuffem made an unexpected appearance during his livestream dressed as a monster.
The viral moment happened when Cuffem, in his monster costume, pretended to rob a woman while the livestream was underway. Speed, dressed as Marvel superhero Miles Morales, immediately stepped in to defend her.
Embracing his Spider-Man character, Speed confronted Cuffem, and the two got into a staged fight. Speed eventually overpowered him, taking him down before returning the woman’s bag.
“Hey, what are you doing stealing that lady’s purse?” Speed asked before tackling Cuffem. “What is wrong with you? Stealing that lady’s purse. How could you?”
He continued, “Hey you don’t do this in my city alright. I’m here to save Brooklyn. Don’t you ever do that again, alright, buddy?”
The encounter was part of Speed’s Halloween celebrations in New York City. On Saturday (Oct. 31), he also shared a Halloween-themed photoshoot on Instagram, showing off his Miles Morales-inspired look against the backdrop of the city.
In a TikTok video from the shoot, Speed performed a backflip and showed off his dance moves on a rooftop as a remix of Post Malone and Swae Lee’s “Sunflower” played in the background.
The song famously featured on the soundtrack of the 2018 animated film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, which introduced audiences to Shameik Moore’s portrayal of Miles Morales.
Miles Morales made his Marvel Comics debut in 2011 before becoming the central character of the animated Spider-Verse film franchise. The next installment, Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, is scheduled to hit theatres in June 2027.
Speed’s Halloween festivities come just days after he made headlines for organizing a massive scavenger hunt across New York City.
On Wednesday (Oct. 28), the streamer challenged fans to find him somewhere in the city between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m., offering a $250,000 reward to whoever tracked him down.
According to HypeFresh, a nursing student named Ben reportedly skipped an exam to participate in the hunt and managed to locate Speed in less than an hour, securing the prize.
