Lil Baby is taking his gaming experience to an entirely different level, putting his hands dangerously close to an alligator’s jaws ahead of the release of his upcoming album, FRESH.
On Wednesday (November 4), the Atlanta rapper shared photos and a video on Instagram showing him playing the Xbox Series X-BITE, a fully functional, one-of-a-kind gaming console built inside a five-foot alligator.
According to a press release, the unusual stunt makes Lil Baby “the first person in the world to play the Series X-BITE.”
The custom gaming system is housed inside an intricately designed alligator, with the console itself visible through an illuminated Xbox Nexus logo embedded in the creature’s body. Its matching wireless controller is positioned between the alligator’s jaws, while its eyes feature Xbox-green irises and pupils modelled after the company’s logo.
Beyond its eye-catching appearance, the console is fully functional. “The idea is simple: an alligator swallowed an XBOX Series X whole. And yes, it still works,” Microsoft explained in its announcement.
The unusual creation was brought to life by John Nolan Studio, a creature and animatronics company known for its work on Jurassic World Dominion, The Witcher, and HBO’s upcoming Harry Potter series. The team used 3D modelling, sculpting and fabrication to create the one-of-a-kind piece. Xbox also included a disclaimer: “No actual alligators were used or harmed in the making of this console. Best as display only.”
Xbox officially unveiled the console on Tuesday (November 3), revealing that Florida’s wildlife inspired the design. The company also launched a giveaway across X, Instagram and TikTok that same day. Fans interested in entering must follow @Xbox, repost the official announcement and manually include #XbiteSweepstakes from a public account.
Those hoping to own the unusual gaming setup have until Tuesday, November 10, at 11:59 P.M. PT to enter. However, eligibility is limited to legal residents of the 50 U.S. states and Washington, D.C., who are at least 18 years old. The selected winner will have 48 hours to claim the prize.
The alligator-themed Xbox arrives just ahead of FRESH, Lil Baby’s fifth studio album and his first full-length studio project since WHAM debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in January 2025.
The 17-track album is scheduled for release on Friday (November 6) through Quality Control/Motown. It features appearances from Future, Young Thug and Rylo Rodriguez, with production contributions from Metro Boomin and London On Da Track, among others.
