Justin Bieber has been on a posting spree lately. From adorable snaps of him and wife Hailey Bieber’s son Jack Blues, to blurry throwbacks and goofy group pics, the 31-year-old “Peaches” star is giving fans major 2015 vibes all over again. But it was his latest shot with close friend Kendall Jenner that really set the internet ablaze.
On Saturday, August 16, Justin dropped a dimly lit bar photo with the 29-year-old model, captured mid-story with her hands in motion, while he sat beside her in a ribbed tank and cargo pants, staring blankly ahead. No caption. Pure chaos.
The reactions came fast—and Hailey’s was first in line. “It’s always Kendall telling a story with her hands,” the 28-year-old quipped in the comments, sparking instant replies like, “Hi MOMMY,” “Things never change, best friendship,” and “You always have to explain the things he posts huh.” Of course, not everyone was as playful. One critic wrote, “You’re out of your mind if you’re OK with this post girl.”
Outside of Hailey’s clap-back, fans had their own takes.
“hailey’s like: my husband and my girlfriend,” one joked.
“This man posted up with everybody but his wife,” another chimed in.
“Kendall is always too close to somebody’s man,” added a third.
One fan even flipped the script: “Everybody worried about Hailey, but she’s probably the one that snapped the pic.”
Even Khloé Kardashian weighed in with nothing but love, dropping two heart emojis.
And for the record—Justin and Kendall have never been more than friends. The two started hanging around the same circle in the early 2010s, but when rumors spiked in 2014–2015 after a few dinners and vacation sightings, Jenner brushed it off, calling Justin a “longtime friend.” Justin echoed that in a 2015 Billboard chat, saying it was never serious between them.
Meanwhile, Justin and Hailey’s story goes way further back—the two first met in 2009 when her dad, Stephen Baldwin, introduced them backstage at the Today show.
Jenner and Hailey’s friendship goes back more than a decade, first linking up at The Hunger Games premiere in 2012—and they’ve been inseparable ever since. Earlier this year, while speaking with Vogue on the Met Gala red carpet, Kendall even gushed that the two are basically “sisters.”
From that point on, their circles merged into one giant pop culture Venn diagram—filled with vacation snaps, runway moments, and endless Instagram comment creeping that cemented their friendships as internet canon.
But in the end, it was Justin and Hailey who became the true love story. The pair tied the knot in a courthouse ceremony in 2018, then followed it up with a star-studded wedding in 2019, where Jenner showed up in a sleek black-and-gold gown. Fast forward to 2024, the couple welcomed their son Jack, who’s about to celebrate his first birthday on August 22.
