Snoop Dogg is taking his love for weed to the art world, transforming ashes from his smoked joints into high-priced art pieces now hitting the auction block with bids starting at $9,000.
The collection, titled Ashes to Art, marks a first-of-its-kind collaboration between The Joint Venture and the rap legend, preserving Snoop’s own smoked roaches in resin, pigment, and glitter.
Each piece is created by artist and Joint Venture co-founder Erica Kovitz—and to top it off, every artwork comes personally signed by Snoop himself.
The Ashes to Art collection comes with some standout pieces already turning heads. “Tiphany Smokes” features three smoked roaches stretched diagonally across a canvas, while “DoggyStyle Decoded” nods to Snoop’s classic debut album, centering the original CD inside a raised metal ashtray alongside a single smoked roach.
Other works in the series include “Orange Chill,” “Pocket High Emerald,” and “White Whisper.” One especially rare piece, “Snoop Doggy Dogg Genesis Burn,” combines his 1993 LAPD mugshot with ash and resin—and it’s the only one signed with his retired “Snoop Doggy Dogg” signature. That one’s already drawing bids around $70,000.
Meanwhile, “Golden Hour Cipher” has already sold for $12,500, showcasing three roaches framed in gold.
Every piece is a one-of-one original, comes with a certificate of authenticity, and is only available via auction, which closes on Aug. 18 at 5:00 p.m. PDT.
