An Indiana math teacher is winning the internet with her creative twist on Drake’s “Nokia,” flipping it into a back-to-school anthem.
The teacher, Miss Kacz—real name Natalie Kaczmarski—has already built a reputation for remixing Drake tracks, and her latest TikTok is no different.
Over the “Nokia” instrumental, she channels Drake’s time-and-place freestyle energy, clapping her hands as she raps out classroom rules like no phones and no ChatGPT.
She even matches his cadence while hyping her students up for geometry, algebra, and math lab. The result? A mix of adorable and genuinely impressive.
Miss Kacz has been in her Drake-inspired rap era since 2019. Before her viral spin on “Nokia,” the Indiana teacher reworked tracks like “Right Now” and “Rich Baby Daddy,” flipping them into classroom-friendly jingles that could easily rival Kidz Bop.
In a sit-down with Good Morning America last year, Miss Kacz explained why Drake remixes have become her go-to for the first day of school.
“I just kind of wanted them to think, like, OK, she’s this cool quirky lady,” she said.
Sharing her passion for teaching, she added, “I absolutely love my job and I think the best way to have an impact on students is to show them that you care, they feel comfortable in your room, and they can relate to you. So if I want to be an effective math teacher, I want them to at first feel comfortable in my room and think that they can relate to me.”
