Jennifer Lopez is embracing the future with gratitude and confidence, a year after filing for divorce from Ben Affleck.
The 56-year-old superstar has kept busy since the split, filling her schedule with the Up All Night Tour. The trek launched in Spain, swept across Europe, and wrapped up this summer with a final stop in Sardinia.
A source told PEOPLE, “She’s been having the time of her life this summer. She loved connecting with fans all over the world. The tour was amazing. It’s been a great focus for her. She’s been doing what she really enjoys.”
But it hasn’t just been about the music. Lopez has been steadily expanding her film career, beginning with the wrestling drama Unstoppable, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival alongside producer Matt Damon. Earlier this year, she also picked up Variety’s Legend and Groundbreakers award, honoring both her performance in Unstoppable and her decades of work in entertainment.
Up next, Lopez is showing a new side of her artistry in Kiss of the Spider Woman, a movie musical she filmed in New York during her split. The film hits theaters on Oct. 10. A source close to her shared, “She’s come a long way since. She’s very happy and just grateful for her life.”
Lopez echoed that sentiment at Sundance, telling audiences she had been “waiting for this moment my whole life.”
Her plate remains full. Beyond Kiss of the Spider Woman, she’s set to star in Netflix’s Office Romance opposite Brett Goldstein, headline The Last Mrs. Parrish directed by Robert Zemeckis, and kick off a Las Vegas residency at Caesars Palace on Dec. 30—closing out 2025 and ringing in the new year onstage.
Lopez and Ben Affleck, who listed April 26, 2024, as their separation date, officially finalized their divorce this past January.
