After unveiling the box sets for Am I the Drama?, her long-awaited sophomore album following 2018’s Invasion of Privacy, Cardi B decided to have some fun while urging fans to buy them up.
During a Spaces chat, Cardi jokingly claimed she was broke and on the verge of eviction—unless her fans helped by purchasing her album. “Please support the box sets. They count for album sales, and I need you guys to donate for the album sales because I’m poor,” she teased.
She piled on the humor, adding, “I’m about to get evicted from my mansion. They’re about to repo all my cars. They’re about to take my Lambos and my Rolls-Royce. I couldn’t even get my pool cleaned this week, you know what I’m saying? I’m fucked up in the game right now.”
Cardi even quipped that she’s been scouting two-bedroom apartments for herself and her kids after blowing all her money on the “Imaginary Playerz” video.
In her promo for the Am I the Drama? box sets, the “Outside” rapper urged fans to “support a working single mother of 3.”
Cardi got emotional while on Spaces, opening up about her personal and financial struggles.
“Ever since I became a single mother, everything just been so hard on me,” she shared. “And the weight of the world is just so hard. I don’t even know what to do anymore.”
Through tears, she went on: “My mortgage every month is, like, with the two houses that I have is about $46,000 a month. Like, how can I afford that? Like, I don’t even know what I’m gonna do anymore. I think gonna sell my pussy in Dubai or something like that.”
Meanwhile, Cardi B found herself in another tense moment in court on Wednesday (Aug. 27) during her ongoing civil assault trial, when attorney Ron Rosen questioned her about whether former security guard Emani Ellis was “bigger” than her.
Cardi responded that during their confrontation, she and Ellis were “face-to-face,” describing Ellis as “security heavy.” Pressed further, she added, “She looks like she’s a little … like she could protect the building. She looked more developed than me.”
