Young Thug’s latest album, UY Scuti, takes its name from a massive red supergiant star.
It’s a major shift from when he dropped Business Is Business back in 2023. At that point, the now-2025 ComplexCon headliner was still behind bars, waiting on the results of Georgia’s YSL RICO case. His release finally came in October, and just six months later, fans got their first preview of UY Scuti with “Money on Money,” a hard-hitting track featuring Future.
Lately, Thug has shown a more reflective side with “Miss My Dogs,” a track where he name-drops Drake and others. Drake appeared to appreciate the shoutout, dropping a like on Thug’s Instagram post highlighting the lyrics, though he’s yet to comment further on it.
UY Scuti is officially out now on Apple Music and other streaming platforms, but fans who want something to hold onto can head to Complex Shop. There, Thug’s new project is available in multiple formats—vinyl, CD, and boxed sets. One standout box set even comes with the What Would Brian Do tee, a tribute to his lawyer Brian Steel.
Steel made waves back in August when he praised Thug as a “hero” for exposing corruption in the criminal justice system and pointing out how prosecutors sometimes hide evidence.
Marking his long-anticipated fourth studio album, UY Scuti arrived Friday night alongside an exclusive SP5DER merch drop at Complex. Collectors can choose from vinyls with alternate covers, including a limited SP5DER edition, or one of four SP5DER x UY Scuti box sets packed with the CD, hoodie, tee, and shorts.
