Mario paused his set mid-performance at The Big Fresno Fair over the weekend to call out a cameraman in a tense moment that quickly went viral.
While performing, the R&B singer suddenly turned toward the cameraman and snapped, “Yo, you gotta get the fuck off the stage, dog. Get him off the stage.”
The cameraman, identified as Ryan Hudgins, looked shocked and started to back away, but Mario repeated the command even louder when he didn’t move fast enough.
“Yo, get the fuck off the stage n***a. Get off the stage,” Mario shouted, as the crowd looked on and Hudgins finally made his way off the stage.
Fans captured the heated exchange on video, and clips quickly made their way around social media.
Ryan Hudgins later spoke out about the incident on Instagram, posting a recap of the night with the caption, “How the night ended in comparison to how it began.” He went on to thank the event promoter and praised the artists and their crews, adding, “Even @marioworldwide team and security were respectful.”
As of now, Mario hasn’t publicly addressed the incident or explained what triggered the outburst. His moment joins a recent trend of artists confronting people mid-performance — earlier this month, rapper Eladio Carrión halted his show in Guatemala City after someone in the crowd allegedly threw a can at him on stage.
