A$AP Rocky is kicking off the new year with a mysterious teaser that’s already stirring excitement around his next visual, complete with an unexpected appearance from Winona Ryder.
On Friday (Jan. 2), the Harlem rapper posted a sneak peek on Instagram of an upcoming music video featuring Ryder. The short clip opens with a haunting shot of someone standing in the street, showing thinning hair and an oxygen tube, instantly creating a surreal and eerie mood.
Seconds later, the screen fades to black, followed by a title card that reads: “‘Punk Rocky’ ASAP Rocky Folkert Verdoorn Simon Becks A.K.A. The Three Musketeers Produced By Magna Studios Freenjoy AWGE Starring Winona Ryder.”
The teaser then cuts back to the same figure, now dancing and moving to a song playing in the background—just enough motion and sound to get fans guessing about what Rocky has in store.
Rocky’s caption only fueled the excitement, with the rapper boldly declaring he’s already locked in the video of the year.
“VIDEO OF THE FUCCKIN YEAR !!! HAPPY NEW YEAR 2026 – DONTBEDUMB PUNK ROCKY MONDAY,” he wrote, confirming the visual is connected to his long-awaited album Don’t Be Dumb.
Beyond the music, Rocky has also been giving back to his roots. Last month, he announced a partnership with Bilt for a “Rent Free” campaign tied to the album rollout. Through the initiative, Rocky and Bilt are covering January rent for residents of the Harlem building where he grew up.
He’s also dropped a limited-edition Don’t Be Dumb vinyl, available via a special pre-order for Bilt members. On top of that, Rocky appeared on a special edition of Bilt’s monthly game show Rent Free, where participants could win rent payments of up to $2,500, with top winners receiving signed copies of the exclusive vinyl.
Don’t Be Dumb is set to arrive Jan. 16, marking Rocky’s first studio album in nearly eight years. The cover art was designed by filmmaker Tim Burton, signaling a bold, visually striking new era for the artist.
