Ray J recently went live and gave viewers a look inside what he described as a female friend’s apartment. Clips from the livestream began circulating over the weekend, showing the home in a disturbing state, with trash and stains scattered throughout the space and used condoms visible around the apartment. In one widely shared clip, Ray can be heard saying, “This is not okay, bro.”
According to accounts sharing the footage, Ray J attributed the apartment’s condition to nitrous oxide use, pointing out balloons as he walked through the space. He also said he intended to send people over to clean the apartment and encourage his friend to seek rehabilitation.
However, the livestream has drawn criticism from some social media users who questioned whether he was genuinely trying to help or exploiting his friend’s situation for content. “This is actually sad,” one person wrote. “anA although he said some key things that he would to help her… this is far from genuine. This is exploitive and I really hope this woman gets the help she deserves.”
Others also offered suggestions on how Ray J could step in and help his friend.
“She too far gone,” another person wrote. “The most he can do is get her checked into rehab. It’s sad seeing someone using a balloon to get high. I have never in my life seen anything like that.”
Earlier this month, he was rushed to the hospital during a livestream connected to his “Rayhab” marathon. His streams have also featured several unfiltered personal moments, including a November 2025 broadcast in which he made his then-girlfriend Shila cry on camera.
On a more positive note, it’s good to see Ray J in better spirits following several health scares this year, which he has openly discussed. He was hospitalized in January after experiencing heart pain and pneumonia. Later in the year, he spent four nights in a Las Vegas hospital after being knocked out in the second round of his fight with Supa Hot Fire.
Hopefully, Ray J is now in a better position to look after himself while also offering support to the people around him.
