North West is making major moves in her budding music career, with reports claiming she has signed a record deal with Gamma.
Rolling Stone reports that the 12-year-old daughter of Kanye West and Kim Kardashian has officially inked a deal with Larry Jackson’s independent music company. Jackson, a former Apple executive, is also working with Ye on his upcoming 12th studio album, Bully.
The reported signing comes on the heels of North’s latest single, “Piercing on My Hand,” which streaming platforms list as being released through North West/Gamma.
Dropped on February 6, the song serves as both a fashion-forward statement and a response to the buzz surrounding her edgy aesthetic. It arrived just days after North posted a photo revealing multiple dermal piercings on her hands, instantly sparking fresh online chatter.
“Shopping in Japan, that’s where I always stand/ Went to school two days, then I got banned,” the homeschooled pre-teen raps.
North first performed the track in January during a massive show in Mexico City, where she joined her father in front of 40,000 fans. The record was produced by Ye and Will Frenchman.
During the concert, the duo also delivered Ye’s 2014 tribute to North, “Only One,” along with ¥$ cuts “Talking” and “Bomb.”
Beyond her debut single, North has previously appeared on Ye and Ty Dolla $ign’s Vultures track “Talking/Once Again,” and on FKA Twigs’ “Childlike Things,” where she showcased her skills in both English and Japanese.
Founded in 2023, Gamma describes itself as a “modern media and technology enterprise.” The company works with major names including Usher, Sexyy Red, Mariah Carey, rising R&B talent JayDon, and Snoop Dogg, who partners with the company for Death Row Records releases.
Gamma also teams up with athletes like Stephen Curry, including collaborations tied to his Under Armour deal.
