Cardi B is stepping away from a heated back-and-forth with a Donald Trump advisor, saying she’s prioritizing her and her family’s safety.
The rapper found herself pulled into controversy after Alex Bruesewitz accused her agent of having ties to a company that reported thousands of bots were amplifying Nicki Minaj’s pro-Trump posts.
Cardi initially fired back after Bruesewitz suggested her representative, Mike “G” Guirguis, was connected to the situation — especially given her long-running history with Nicki Minaj. The drama traces back to a Politico report detailing the bot activity, which was uncovered by Cyabra, described as a “disinformation detection company.” Bruesewitz criticized the article for not mentioning Guirguis’ alleged affiliation with the company.
In response, Cardi pushed Bruesewitz to acknowledge the accuracy of the report and urged him to keep her name out of the situation.
“Listen, you involved me in something that has nothing to do wit me so now we’re gonna talk about the facts. Cyabra is a data company with a lot of investors like Mike G, customers like Elon Musk and Pepsi that use that company for data and even has Mike Pompeo on the board of advisors.. so what you need to focus on is the fact that data is VERY real and leave me out of your bullsh*t.
She continued, “I do not have anything to do with that and I don’t give AF!! Now lie and say that’s not true!!! See what happen when you involve me in sh*t that don’t have nothing to do with me? I get down to the GRISTLE of it!!”

Mike “G” also weighed in, telling Complex, “[M]y advisory role and investment in Cyabra along with multiple other tech companies has absolutely nothing to do with Cardi B.”
Despite the back-and-forth, Cardi has decided to step away from the situation, saying concerns for her and her family’s safety are the reason. During a recent X Spaces session, she explained, “I don’t even play that shit. I don’t want no smoke with nobody from the fcking government, btch. I don’t want no beef with no white folks that work in the motherfcking White House, because, God forbid, my motherfcking plane blow up [on] some weird sh*t. [Or] I get kidnapped [or] they play with my family.”
She also shared that after she initially clapped back at Bruesewitz, she felt targeted by his supporters, which pushed her into panic mode and ultimately led her to disengage.
“It makes me feel like people that are in power and are in the White House is watching me and looking at me and stalking me. Motherfckers might be outside my hotel. …. Motherfckers probably have a satellite on top of my crib. So how the f*ck do you think I feel? I feel a little paranoid, because it’s like, why me? I’ve been minding my business.”
Bruesewitz responded to Cardi’s decision to back off by trolling her on X, writing, “Thanks for playing, @iamcardib, and I appreciate you dropping your frivolous lawsuit threat against me! I forgive you!”
