Soulja Boy Reveals Why He Enjoys Trolling Drake: “You Stole My S**t”

Soulja Boy is still holding onto his issues with Drake nearly ten years after accusing the five-time Grammy winner of borrowing his style.

The rapper and internet personality appeared on the Friday (March 6) episode of Nick Cannon’s Big Drive, where he once again spoke about his history with Drizzy. Drake previously referenced Soulja Boy on his 2010 track “Miss Me,” famously interpolating Soulja Boy’s 2007 song “What’s Hannenin.” But instead of taking it as a tribute, Soulja Boy went on The Breakfast Club in 2018 and claimed Drake copied his flow “bar for bar.”

Around the nineteen-minute mark of the episode, Soulja explained that despite collaborating with Drake in the past, he still enjoys “trolling” him.

“I just think it’s funnier ‘cause it’s like you stole my shit, so now I can just troll you,” Soulja told Cannon.

“I think he was trying to shout me out,” Soulja continued. “But it’s like, man, you did too much.”

When Nick Cannon suggested that Soulja should be earning publishing from Drake, the rapper agreed.

“You going number one off this shit. This [is a] big song. These ain’t no regular songs. You going platinum and shit,” Soulja said.

Soulja Boy also made it clear that he’s not overly bothered by the situation and has no intention of taking Drake to court, though he joked that he probably “should.” He also mentioned that he’s received songwriting credit on tracks by Willow Smith, as well as GloRilla and Megan Thee Stallion’s “Wanna Be.”

One of the most recent times Soulja Boy took a shot at Drake came last May, when he randomly called the 6 God a “bitch ass n***a” in a tweet before later walking back the remark.

“I rock with @Drake its the people around him I’m not stamping,” Soulja clarified.
