Sandra Bullock is officially new to Instagram, which might come as a surprise considering she once made it clear she stayed far away from social media. In a statement to People last year, she stressed that she didn’t use any platforms, warning fans about fake accounts pretending to be her. “Please be aware that I do not participate in any form of social media. Any accounts pretending to be me or anyone associated with me are fake accounts and have been created for financial gain or to exploit people around me,” she said, calling out scammers directly.
Now, things have clearly changed. Bullock has joined Instagram and is already jumping into the comments section of her celebrity friends’ posts. She kicked things off with Channing Tatum, her co-star in The Lost City. After a fan brought up his 2024 GQ interview—where he admitted to buying a year’s supply of shirts just to avoid doing laundry—Bullock chimed in with, “Of course you did,” adding a playful wink.
She didn’t stop there. Under a clip of Jennifer Aniston styling Jason Bateman’s hair, Bullock dropped another comment: “Me next mama? Going for a witchy look…”
That “witchy” nod likely ties into her upcoming role in Practical Magic 2. She’ll be reuniting with Nicole Kidman, and even showed her excitement on Instagram. Reacting to a video of them embracing—captioned, “The witches are back. Owens sisters’ first day on set!”—Bullock added, “Oh we’re so back.”
Sandra Bullock also popped up in the comments of a post from her Practical Magic 2 co-star Joey King, writing, “My blood. Your blood. Our blood. iykyk.”
The original Practical Magic hit screens in 1998, blending romance and fantasy, and was adapted from a novel by Alice Hoffman. Speaking on the sequel, Nicole Kidman shared with Deadline that fans should get ready for “midnight margaritas, jumping off the roof and also [having] our past [catch] up with us. We have our destinies, and the family. I think it’s going to be really, really fun.”
