At the time of writing, it’s still unclear whether anyone involved in the reported shooting has any ties to Chris Brown or his Los Angeles residence.
While Chris Brown gears up for his “Raymond & Brown” tour alongside fellow R&B star Usher, an incident near his home has drawn attention. According to TMZ, police in Los Angeles responded to reports of a shooting on the street outside Brown’s property on Friday, May 1, leading to a suspect being arrested.
Law enforcement sources say officers were called around 4PM after a woman alleged that a man fired shots at her vehicle near the residence. When police arrived, they reportedly spoke with both individuals involved. It remains uncertain whether Brown was home at the time.
The male suspect allegedly told authorities the situation escalated during an argument after the woman refused to leave the area. He also claimed she ran over his foot with her car, which he says led him to shoot at the vehicle. Police reportedly arrested him, setting bail at $50,000 on charges of assault with a deadly weapon and vandalism.
As of now, there’s no confirmed link between either person and the “Fallin” singer or his property. Reports stress that the shooting happened outside on the street—not within the home itself.
It’s confirmed that the 35-year-old suspect is not Chris Brown. A spokesperson from the Los Angeles Police Department added that early reports indicate the weapon used may have been a “CO2-style weapon.”
Elsewhere, Chris Brown is also dealing with a separate legal issue. His former housekeeper has reportedly pushed to present graphic images tied to an alleged dog attack, claiming Brown’s dog, Hades, mauled her. She has been pursuing $90 million in damages since 2021.
Brown has denied any responsibility in the case, and all eyes are now on what the court decides next.
