Russell Wilson is making sure Ciara feels the love on her special day.
The retired NFL quarterback celebrated his wife’s 41st birthday on Sunday, Oct. 25, by sharing an Instagram Reel filled with memorable moments from their decade-long relationship. Alongside the highlights, Wilson penned an emotional tribute, praising the singer for being the backbone of their growing family.
“Happy Birthday my Everything. @ciara I love you so much,” Wilson wrote. “Your heart and strength inspire everyone around you. You are our rock and there are no words to describe the gratitude I have in being able to share my life with you.”
He went on to write, “You are the best mom, wife, best friend, and hardest worker. You are our world. I love you in every lifetime Mrs. Wilson.”
Ciara was quick to reciprocate the affection in the comments section.
“Oh my sweet love. This video,” she wrote. “I’m so grateful to wake up to you and our babies this morning. Having you and our babies is all I need. My heart is full! Thank you Jesus! I love you so so so much!”
The birthday celebration comes during a busy year for the couple, who marked their 10th wedding anniversary in July and revealed in September that they’re expecting their fifth child together.
Ciara announced her pregnancy on Instagram with a photo of a clothesline displaying white shirts bearing the names of their four children—Future, Sienna, Win, and Amora—alongside a tiny blank shirt.
“One more person to Love,” she captioned the post.
Wilson, who had spent years openly expressing his desire to have another child, wasted no time sharing his excitement. “Baby Cinco! @ciara,” he commented.
The couple shares Sienna, 9, Win, 6, and Amora, 2. Ciara also has a son, Future Zahir, 12, from her previous relationship with rapper Future. Wilson has helped raise Future since he was a baby and previously described raising a child “as if he’s your own blood” as “the greatest gift.”
Ciara hasn’t slowed down her performances despite being pregnant. Just weeks after revealing the news, she delivered an energetic, dance-filled performance at the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas, even performing a backbend during “Like A Boy” while cradling her baby bump.
“This baby up here bouncin’ around,” she joked afterward. “This mama gonna stay movin’.”
Meanwhile, Wilson is experiencing his first NFL season from the broadcast booth after retiring from football earlier this year. The Super Bowl champion joined CBS Sports following a 14-year playing career, passing up an opportunity to continue playing with the New York Jets.
Despite their demanding schedules, the couple continues to offer fans glimpses into their relationship. During an appearance on Baby, This Is Keke Palmer, Wilson revealed that he had written down five qualities he wanted in a wife and prayed over them with his pastor. Just three days later, he met Ciara.
With ten years of marriage, four children, and another baby on the way, Wilson’s birthday tribute left little doubt about how he feels about finding his wife: “I love you in every lifetime, Mrs. Wilson.”
