Pam Grier says one surprising perk of getting older is being able to experience what she called a “three-day” orgasm.
The 76-year-old blaxploitation icon made the bold revelation during Wednesday’s episode of the podcast Wiser Than Me with Julia Louis-Dreyfus hosted by Julia Louis-Dreyfus.
Around the nine-minute mark of the episode, Louis-Dreyfus brought up Grier’s age and vibrant energy while asking her opening questions.
“I think I might be 77 this year. I might be. I don’t know, nor do I care. If I wake up breathing I’m going to have a good day,” Grier replied.
Louis-Dreyfus pointed out how youthful and energetic Grier still seemed, which led to the interview’s standout moment.
“I mean, just by the amount of energy you have right now and the bubbling up zest you’ve got for life—I was going to ask you how old do you feel. But you must feel very young. You seem very young to me. Do you feel young?” Louis-Dreyfus asked.
“Well, yes, I do. Because when you’re young, you can have three, four, five orgasms in an hour,” Grier responded. “But when you get my age, you have one orgasm. It’ll last three days.”
Clearly stunned, Louis-Dreyfus responded, “What are you talking about? Like, what are you doing down there to get a three-day orgasm? I need details.”
Grier explained there was no secret technique involved.
“You don’t have to do anything, but when it happens, I just want to tell you: you just be prepared. It’s going to be three whole days,” she said.
Louis-Dreyfus then wondered whether Grier had discovered some special method or if it simply came with age.
“I think it’s my age,” Grier answered.
Louis-Dreyfus joked, “Maybe when you’re 90, it’ll be a whole week.”
Laughing, Grier added, “If I could have had that when I was younger, I would have had a better life and better boyfriends, OK?”
