Drake isn’t only expected to take over the Billboard 200 with his three latest albums.
According to Billboard, Drizzy has officially made history on the UK’s Official Albums Chart after becoming the first artist ever to debut three studio albums in the top ten at the same time. Iceman opened at No. 1, while Maid of Honour landed at No. 6 and Habibti arrived at No. 7. The last artist to achieve something similar in the UK was Prince back in 1993, when he debuted three compilation albums inside the top ten.
Iceman now gives Drake his seventh No. 1 album in the UK, joining previous chart-toppers like For All the Dogs (2023), Her Loss with 21 Savage (2022), Certified Lover Boy (2021), Dark Lane Demo Tapes (2020), Scorpion (2018), and Views (2016).
Holding the No. 2 position on the chart for the week ending Thursday (May 21) is Michael Jackson’s The Essential compilation, which previously spent two straight weeks at No. 1. MJ also secured two more spots in the top ten, with Thriller sitting at No. 4 and Bad at No. 8. Rounding out the top five are Olivia Dean’s The Art of Loving at No. 3 and Noah Kahan’s The Great Divide at No. 5.
Although the official Billboard 200 chart hasn’t been released yet, final projections suggest Drake could move a combined 683.1K units across all 43 songs. Iceman is expected to debut at No. 1 with 459.9K units sold, while Habibti is projected to enter at No. 2 with 114.1K units, and Maid of Honour is forecasted to open at No. 3 with 109.1K.
If those numbers hold, Drizzy will become the first artist in history to debut three new albums in the top three spots of the Billboard 200, adding another major milestone to his record-breaking run on both sides of the Atlantic.
