Jennifer Lopez recently joked that she knows enough about troubled romances to teach an entire lecture on the subject.
During an interview with Elle UK alongside her Office Romance co-star Brett Goldstein, Lopez was asked what topic she could speak about for hours outside of acting and creating.
“I could give a TED talk on human behavior, emotional intelligence, and dysfunctional relationships,” she joked, before adding that she could probably earn a “PhD [in] narcissists,” though she stopped short of naming any former partners.
Her comments arrive amid growing speculation about her relationship with Goldstein. However, Lopez recently brushed off the rumors during an appearance on TODAY, noting that people often assume she’s romantically involved with anyone she’s seen working alongside.
“There’s never a time when I’m seen with somebody or working with somebody where they don’t try to put me with the person,” Lopez said.
Goldstein joined in on the joke, adding, “I think if you stand near her, that’s what happens. That’s why I’ve been standing so close this whole time.”
Lopez has also been candid about embracing single life following her split from Ben Affleck last year. During an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, she reflected on her past relationships and admitted she may have approached romance the wrong way over the years.
“I’m not doing anything to ruin how I feel right now,” she said. “I’ll meet somebody somewhere one day if they’re good enough.”
According to People, Lopez’s relationship history includes marriages to Ojani Noa, Cris Judd, Marc Anthony, and Ben Affleck. She has also previously dated Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, Casper Smart, and Alex Rodriguez.
