Cardi B is calling for Los Angeles nightclubs to stay open later so partygoers can enjoy longer nights out.
After delivering a medley performance and taking home the award for Best Female Hip-Hop Artist at the 2026 BET Awards on Sunday (June 28), the Am I the Drama? rapper went live on Instagram to chat with fans about her plans after the show. Eager to keep the celebration going, Cardi quickly ran into one major issue: California bars, restaurants, and clubs stop serving alcohol at 2 a.m.
“L.A., the clubs be finishing at 2 a.m. That shit is trash,” Cardi said around the five-minute mark of the livestream. “Petition for the clubs to finish at 3 a.m. This is why the LA fucking economy is going is going to go down. First, y’all don’t put forks or spoons [in bags] when y’all do a fucking delivery order. And the clubs close too early. Like, what the fuck is 2 a.m.? I only got two shots in me at 2 a.m. Like, come on now.”
Cardi wrapped up her comments by saying she’d still be “outside” regardless of when the clubs shut down.
The superstar, who completed her first-ever headlining tour in April after 35 shows, also urged fans to stop bullying BIA, despite the rapper taking shots at her on the Drama standout track “Pretty & Petty.”
