Nicole Kidman and Sandra Bullock are set to reunite on the big screen in Practical Magic 2 this month, but they may not be the only stars bringing some magic to the highly anticipated sequel.
Fresh off the success of the inaugural Daisy Chains Fields festival — where founder Olivia Rodrigo raised $20 million for organizations supporting girls and women — clips from the event quickly took over the internet and sparked plenty of conversation. Sandra Bullock was among those taking notice, and she may have just hinted at a musical connection between Rodrigo and Stevie Nicks.
In a since-expired Instagram Story shared on Sunday, August 30, Bullock posted footage of Rodrigo alongside Stevie Nicks, one of the festival’s special guests. “Angel voices that are part of an upcoming film…,” the actress wrote over the video.
Bullock has not shared any additional details about the music, and neither Rodrigo nor Nicks has commented on it. However, Nicks has a history with the Practical Magic franchise, having contributed two songs to the original film, both produced by Sheryl Crow.
While fans may have to wait to find out whether a Stevie Nicks and Olivia Rodrigo collaboration is really on the way, the excitement surrounding Daisy Chains Fields is still going strong. Rodrigo brought together an impressive lineup of female performers, including Nicks, Chappell Roan, Doechii, Rachel Chinouriri, Santigold, and Mitski.
Sarah McLachlan also performed at the festival. Her iconic women-led Lilith Fair festival served as the inspiration behind Daisy Chains Fields.
Several legendary musicians also took a moment to celebrate Rodrigo during the event, including Nicks, who told the Daisy Chain Fields crowd, “She reminds me of me, when I was her age a hundred years ago. And I’m somewhat awestruck that she could do all this. Because it’s so hard, you have no idea, putting this together with all of these people. And she’s done it, with this grace.”
Practical Magic 2 is set to hit theaters on Friday, Sept. 11, arriving 28 years after the original movie.
