While many A-listers left the 97th Academy Awards without a golden statue, they definitely didn’t go home empty-handed.
According to CNBC, top Oscar nominees scored a gift bag worth over $220,000, put together by LA marketing company Distinctive Assets. Though not officially connected to the Academy Awards, this tradition has been running for 23 years. The goodies arrived in Nomatic luggage and included more than 60 items ranging from cannabis pre-rolls to a luxury Maldives getaway valued at around $23,000.
Dubbed the “Everybody Wins” bag, the collection features both fun indulgences (weed) and practical offerings (project management services). Other highlights include a $5,200 stay at Barcelona’s Cotton House Hotel, luxury pocket squares from Daniel Ashley Co., INSTYTUTUM skincare products, a $3,500 virtual wellness retreat, a $25,000 AncestryDNA VIP Family History Experience, and movie-inspired merch from Alamo Drafthouse Cinema. Recipients also received a one-year membership to Bright Harbor disaster recovery support, particularly timely given the recent devastating fires in Los Angeles.
Not everyone got to take home the swag, though. Only nominees in the four acting categories received it, along with Best Director nominees and host Conan O’Brien. That means stars like Timothée Chalamet, Adrien Brody, Zoe Saldaña, Kieran Culkin, Isabella Rossellini, Demi Moore, Mikey Madison, Cynthia Erivo, and Colman Domingo all walked away with these lavish gifts.
Sean Baker’s Anora, starring Mikey Madison, cleaned up at last night’s Oscars, snagging five awards including Best Director, Best Actress, Best Picture, and Best Original Screenplay. The Brutalist took home three awards, while Dune: Part Two, Emilia Pérez, and Wicked each claimed two.
