Charlie Sheen is getting candid about his past, revealing that an insult from a sex worker once pushed him to undergo liposuction.
In his new memoir The Book of Sheen, the actor recalls an incident from 2000 while filming Rated X in Toronto with his brother Emilio Estevez. Feeling lonely one night, Sheen says he flipped through Bell Canada’s Yellow Pages and hired what he described as a “gorgeous brunette.”
After their first round together, Sheen writes that the woman lit a cigarette, reached over, slapped his bare stomach, and quipped, “Whattya say, Fatso. You up for round two?”
The remark hit Sheen hard. “Wow. Jeez, lady, you had 10,000 nicknames to choose from and you went with that?” he writes. “I wanted to blow my brains out. It’s amazing where one word can send a guy.”
As soon as filming wrapped, Sheen says he headed back to Los Angeles and immediately booked liposuction. He explained that his weight gain at the time stemmed from sobriety, noting, “It’s pretty common for a lot of folks to gain a buncha weight after getting sober, especially when stimulants were their drug of choice. I’d rather be a bit soft and alive than crack-skinny and f****ing dead.”
Alongside the memoir, Sheen is also set to release a Netflix documentary titled aka Charlie Sheen on September 10, which will further explore his turbulent past.
