OnlyFans star Sophie Rain shelled out a whopping $1,000 for Starbucks’ viral $29 bear cup.

OnlyFans creator Sophie Rain revealed she dropped $1,000 to snag Starbucks’ limited-edition bear cup from another customer after spending hours on the hunt.

“I spent $1000 to get the viral Starbucks bear cup,” she shared on TikTok, showing off the beanie-wearing glass tumbler. The collectible, part of Starbucks’ 2025 holiday lineup, originally sells for just $29.

“I’ve been searching for this bear cup for days,” Sophie said. “Ever since it dropped, I knew I had to have her in my life.”

Rain said she searched over 50 Starbucks locations nearby, but every store was completely sold out.

Eventually, she discovered one store three hours away that still had the cup—only to arrive and find another customer had just bought it.

“So I go up to her and I’m like, can I please buy that off you? I’ve been looking for this cup. I’ll do anything. I have $1,000 in my car, cash, I can give you,” Rain recalled. “And she didn’t even hesitate. She was so sweet.”

In her caption, she added, “Thank you to the girl who let me have it.”

Her post quickly blew up online, with reactions split down the middle.

“$1000 would definitely change my life right now, so I get her,” one TikTok user wrote, while others were less forgiving.

“It’s a cup…” one person commented. “Imagine driving 3 hours and spending $1000 on a cup,” another said.

The viral Bearista cup—shaped like a teddy bear in a green knit-style hat featuring the Starbucks logo—has become the most wanted item from the coffee chain’s 2025 holiday drop, launched on November 6.

Demand has skyrocketed, with fans lining up, calling multiple stores, and even camping out to get one.

Some baristas have joined in on the fun, pretending to be automated messages announcing that the cups are sold out. Others, like Rain, resorted to creative (and pricey) methods.

On eBay, listings for the Bearista cup have soared past $1,200, often bundled with Starbucks’ Hello Kitty plush from the same holiday collection, which has also sold out.

Starbucks is set to release a follow-up collaboration with fashion brand Roller Rabbit on December 2, giving collectors another chance at limited-edition merch.

As for Rain, she says the splurge was worth it.

“Yeah, I might have spent 30 times the price,” she said, “but now I can flex every single time I walk into a Starbucks.”
