Adin Ross says he’s looking for answers after the strange amateur MMA bout between Ray J and comedian Supa Hot Fire, especially after remarks from Ray J led fans to question whether the fight was actually real.
While speaking on a recent livestream, Adin addressed the matchup and revealed that his team intends to take a closer look at what really went down in the cage.
“Ray J obviously what he said after the fight… Supahot not throwing a fucking punch like in the first round, we need to look into that,” Adin said. “We need to investigate that.”
Ross also pointed out that Supa Hot Fire’s performance shift from the first round to the second made the whole situation seem questionable.
“Supahot has been nothing but a great fighter,” he added. “Supa looked like himself in the second round. Now do I know why Ray J said what he said? No I don’t. … We’re taking that shit very seriously. It looked weird bro.”
The remarks followed Saturday night’s chaotic matchup at Brand Risk 14 in Las Vegas, where Ray J was stopped in the second round by Supa Hot Fire, whose real name is DeWayne Stevenson.
The fight quickly left social media users confused due to the drastic difference in Stevenson’s approach between rounds. In the first round, Supa Hot Fire mostly moved around the cage, barely engaging and appearing hesitant to throw punches, while Ray J stayed aggressive and connected with several shots.
Then, less than 30 seconds into the second round, Stevenson suddenly came alive, throwing rapid combinations before dropping Ray J to secure the stoppage.
Slow-motion footage of the knockout quickly spread online, with many viewers focusing on the noticeable swelling on Ray J’s forehead and how dramatic the ending looked.
However, it was Ray J’s reaction after the fight that pushed conspiracy theories even further.
Once the bout was over, Ray J confronted Supa Hot Fire and appeared visibly frustrated. At one point, he claimed he believed “they had a plan” and also complained about losing money tied to the fight.
Those comments instantly sparked speculation across social media, with some users suggesting the fight may have been staged or manipulated in some way, although no evidence has surfaced to confirm those accusations.
The awkward atmosphere surrounding the event actually began before the fight even happened. During the pre-fight press conference, tensions rose after Stevenson taunted Ray J while wearing a shirt featuring Kim Kardashian, referencing their well-known history together.
Ray J also shared several emotional remarks ahead of the fight, including one moment where he addressed online rumors surrounding his health and said he was “dying” for what he believed in every time he stepped inside the ring.
