Morgan Wallen once had an impressive 37 songs charting on the Billboard Hot 100 at the same time, but fans are now wondering just how many entries Drake will land with his ICEMAN trilogy.
Drake supporters are already anticipating a wave of shattered records as Billboard still hasn’t officially confirmed the final first-week sales numbers for the ICEMAN trilogy. Regardless of the exact totals, it’s obvious the Toronto rapper is on track to add even more milestones to his already massive résumé. One of the biggest talking points involves the Hot 100 and the record previously set by Morgan Wallen for the most simultaneous entries on the chart.
According to Complex, current projections suggest Drizzy could place 42 songs on the upcoming Billboard Hot 100 chart. Morgan Wallen currently holds the record with 37 simultaneous entries, but that achievement may soon be overtaken.
Across ICEMAN, HABIBTI, and MAID OF HONOUR, Drake released a total of 43 new tracks. Because of that, fans seem more interested in figuring out which song won’t make the Hot 100 rather than which ones are expected to dominate the chart.
As for potential chart-toppers, tracks from ICEMAN are reportedly leading the race. “Janice STFU” is currently projected as a strong contender for the top spot, while “Ran To Atlanta” featuring Future and Molly Santana, along with “Whisper My Name” and “Shabang,” are also generating major momentum.
Elsewhere, Drake is also expected to make history on the Billboard 200 albums chart. Current projections suggest he could become the first artist ever to debut three albums simultaneously within the chart’s top three positions. ICEMAN is expected to lead the pack in sales, with MAID OF HONOUR and HABIBTI following behind.
Based on the latest projections, ICEMAN reportedly earned around 460K album-equivalent units during its opening week, while MAID OF HONOUR brought in approximately 109K and HABIBTI followed closely with 114K. Official numbers have not yet been confirmed, but even slightly lower totals would still be enough to secure major chart records.
ICEMAN has already reached eligibility for RIAA Gold certification, streaming numbers continue climbing at a huge pace, and the 6ix God is also setting new chart milestones in the UK. At the same time, conversations surrounding the project’s reception appear to be shifting, with some critics easing up while even dedicated fans are taking a more balanced approach. Still, regardless of the debate, the numbers continue to favor Drake.
