Los Angeles prosecutors are reviewing fresh sexual assault allegations against Sean “Diddy” Combs, opening the door to potential new criminal charges in addition to his current federal conviction.
The allegations were brought forward by publicist Jonathan Hay, who filed a police report in September in Largo, Florida. Hay claims Diddy sexually assaulted him during two separate incidents that allegedly occurred in Los Angeles in 2020 and 2021.
Since the alleged incidents took place in Los Angeles, the case was forwarded to local authorities for further investigation.
According to Hay’s report, the incidents happened while he was working with Christopher “CJ” Wallace, the son of late rap icon Christopher “Biggie Smalls” Wallace, on a remix project. Hay alleges that Diddy was present during those studio sessions and carried out the assaults.
In one alleged encounter, Hay claimed Diddy masturbated into a shirt belonging to The Notorious B.I.G. before making a sexual remark toward him, ejaculating, and then throwing the shirt in his direction.
Hay also alleged that during a separate incident, Diddy accused him of being a “snitch” before forcing him into a sexual act inside a room.
Both the Los Angeles Police Department and the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department reportedly conducted independent investigations before submitting their findings to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office last fall. On June 2, DA spokesperson Venusse Dunn confirmed that prosecutors are currently reviewing the matter.
Reacting to the development, Hay said he believes the review marks an important step toward accountability.
“Standing as a survivor of the actions involving Sean Diddy Combs and Christopher CJ Wallace, I view the validation of my accounts by the LAPD and the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office as a critical juncture,” Hay stated. “This development represents a substantial advancement in my pursuit of complete accountability. Justice is prevailing.”
The allegations surface after CJ Wallace secured a default judgment in a defamation lawsuit against Hay last year. Wallace alleged that Hay had publicly claimed, among other accusations, that he was involved in a scheme that led to Diddy allegedly sexually assaulting the producer.
Diddy is currently serving a 50-month federal prison sentence at the Federal Correctional Institution Fort Dix in New Jersey after being convicted of transporting a girlfriend and another woman across state lines for prostitution. He was acquitted of racketeering conspiracy and two sex trafficking charges and is currently appealing the federal conviction.
