According to TMZ, the rap icon failed to appear at a scheduled concert in Bangor, Maine, on Tuesday, June 30. The waterfront show was expected to kick off the tour and featured 2 Chainz as a special guest, who reportedly still performed. The Game is also expected to make appearances at select dates throughout the tour.
TMZ, citing a local report, said the venue informed fans that Wayne would not be performing just minutes after his scheduled 10:45 p.m. local set time. The concert itself had started several hours earlier, with multiple performances leading up to his anticipated appearance.
As of press time, Wayne’s team has not provided an official explanation for his absence. Meanwhile, fans have been seeking information about refunds through ticket vendors. According to WABI 5, Waterfront Concerts President Alex Gray apologized to attendees and said the performance was called off after organizers were unable to secure a curfew extension from the city.
