Taylor Swift’s aunt, Robin Gentry, has shared a few intimate details from the singer’s wedding to Travis Kelce.
Gentry briefly spoke about the ceremony, held on Friday (July 3), during an interview with LBC News as she left the event in an SUV. When asked about the couple’s emotions, she said the newlyweds were very expressive throughout the day.
“They cried, and they laughed, and they danced, and they hugged, and they kissed,” she said.
She also kept other details minimal but noted there was “lots” of food available and described the wedding cake as delicious.
Swift and Kelce reportedly got married in a lavish ceremony at Madison Square Garden. Adam Sandler officiated the wedding, while Swift’s brother Austin served as her Man of Honor and Kelce’s brother Jason acted as Best Man.
Nearly 1,000 guests attended, including stars like Ed Sheeran, Zoë Kravitz, Ethan Hawke, Jimmy Fallon, Gigi Hadid, and Bradley Cooper.
After the couple walked down the aisle, jumbotrons outside the arena announced the marriage with the message: “JUST&T MARRIED!”
Bloomberg reported that guests, staff, and police officers had their phones taken to keep details private, though some celebrity names still leaked before the ceremony. Several staff members were also reportedly fired for allegedly breaking NDAs.
Swift and Kelce got engaged last August after two years of dating. Swift announced it on Instagram, writing: “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.”
Before the wedding, there was widespread speculation that the couple may have already legally married in private ahead of the ceremony.
