Clippers Fan Gets Humbled After Claiming He Could Outshoot LeBron in Front of Packed Arena

A Clippers fan got more than he bargained for when he tried to show up LeBron James.

During a second-quarter break at Sunday’s Lakers-Clippers game at Inuit Dome, a fan named Paul Wall got picked for a shooting contest. He came in hot with the trash talk, feeling way too confident about his skills.

“I feel good, and I’m gonna show LeBron how a 40-year-old is supposed to do it,” Wall bragged to the Clippers announcer.

Wall’s big talk fell flat when he hit the court. He started rough, missing three easy shots on the right side before finally making one. Then he moved left and bricked three more. The announcer made it even funnier, dropping comments like “Alright, Paul Wall,” “Paul Wall, we’re all rooting for you,” and “Another one up…not good.”

At least the Clippers saved Wall some face by beating the Lakers 116-102, with four starters hitting double digits. Meanwhile, LeBron showed what a real 40-year-old can do, dropping an age-defying stat line (25 points, 5 rebounds, and 11 assists) in the loss.
