Top Dawg Entertainment’s facing a lawsuit from two women over sexual misconduct allegations.
Newsweek broke the story (though Complex has seen the court docs) about two women accusing several TDE bigwigs and employees of sexual harassment, assault, and contract violations. The lawsuit, filed in LA Superior Court in early December, claims TDE management turned a blind eye when these issues came to light.
The first woman says she joined TDE in 2019 and claims Chief Marketing Officer Brandon Tiffith came at her with unwanted sexual advances and battery.
She’s also pointing fingers at TDE president Anthony Tiffith Jr., the founder’s kid, for repeated sexual harassment. When she tried getting paid for her work, she says the president ghosted on their contract.
The second woman’s also calling out sexual harassment from TDE staff on company grounds. She says one time they pushed her to “consuming alcohol while underage for the purpose of sexual exploitation.”
Both women want compensation for emotional trauma, financial losses, and California law violations. They’re also gunning for punitive damages over “TDE’s ratification of the sexual misconduct of its officers.”
Their lawyer, Shounak Dharap from Arns Davis Law, told Complex they’re not backing down. “This lawsuit presents a glaring example of the systemic abuse and exploitation in the entertainment industry,” Dharap said. “Our clients trusted TDE to act with integrity and professionalism. Instead, their trust was betrayed in profoundly damaging ways. They’re bringing this lawsuit because they refuse to be silenced, and because they intend to hold TDE accountable in court.”
TDE, which used to be Kendrick Lamar’s home until 2022, still reps artists like ScHoolboy Q and SZA. None of these artists are mentioned in the lawsuit.
